As each day in school passes by, the Bulldogs are getting closer to summer vacation. It is time to say farewell to the class of 2019 seniors as the school year comes to an end. The year is ending for Cassandra Cota and she takes on the next step to her life. After high school, Cota will be attending Cal Poly Pomona College to further her education and work hard to achieve her goals. In the future, Cota hopes to have a career in the Business field. In her free time, she likes to play the guitar and sing. Cota also enjoys going for long walks with her friend, while talking about anything and everything.

Cota has been a part of the Journalism class this past year. She joined this class during her senior year to broaden her horizons about the different classes on campus. Said Cota, “This class has been a fun and unique experience because I’ve never had a class like this before. Journalism has helped me become a better writer and made me become more involved and informed about high school activities.”

Other than journalism, Cota is a part of many extracurricular activities. She volunteers in the community as a Leo Club member and sings in her church choir. She was also part of the varsity girls’ soccer team for the last three years of her high school career. She was also part of a soccer league outside of school. Outside of school, she also works at a local bakery named “Baked.”

As she leaves high school, Cota has a piece of advice for the underclassmen. She believes it is important that underclassmen stay focused during school, but it is also important to remember to take time to relax and enjoy life. She stated, “Life is so short, so it’s important to take advantage of opportunities and experience what the world has to offer.”
