21st Annual Madrigal Feast

By: Leslie Sanchez

The Ayala Concert Choir is hosting its 21st Annual Madrigal Feaste! It will take place on December 5th, 6th, and 7th in the MPR and are excited for everyone to come see this exciting holiday dinner show. The show includes live choral music, theatricals, and a multi-course dinner served to guests at their tables.

Performances are at 7 p.m. on Thursday through Sunday with an extra matinee at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $35 for the general public and $25 for students and staff. Price of admission includes dinner with a choice of a chicken or vegetarian entree.

“Tickets will go fast so make sure to get your tickets soon or else you’ll miss out on a wonderful experience,'' Robert Davis, Ayala Concert Choir’s Director, exclaimed.

The choir has been going through many rehearsals and checklists this past month to make sure this show is perfect and ready to be revealed to the public. Songs including “Deck the Halls,” “First Noel,” “We Wish You a Merry Christmas,” and many more will be sung during the show. The audience will even be encouraged to play a game with the choir and compete against each other to try and be the loudest while singing “Twelve Days of Christmas.”

“Madrigal Feaste is a definite way to get you into the holiday spirit, you’ll get to hear great Christmas music and will make you want to hear more,” shared senior Jasmine Medina.

Madrigal Feaste continues to have a great turnout and hopes to bring new people every year for an experience like no other.

“My favorite thing about Mad Feaste is how realistic the set looks. It really feels like you’ve went through a time machine and you’re living through the old Medieval times. It’s definitely something you don’t want to miss,” said junior Xavier English.

The choir is now in the final days of their last rehearsals and will come together to begin to set up the MPR for an amazing experience for the public.
