Even though all juniors must take the CAASPP test, not everyone takes it seriously despite incentives. “I think that weve tried our best to stress the importance of the test, so hopefully that is coming across within [students] own attitudes towards [the CAASPP], English 10 Honors and AP Language teacher Mrs. Alexis Sjol said.

The most difficult part of coordinating the showcase for ASL teacher Mrs. Natalie Cooney is coordinating with students for practice. coordinating with the students. I have lots of students who are into a lot of things so one thing thats very difficult is coordinating time to make sure that everyones schedule works together so we can practice for the showcase, Cooney said.

Chloe Wang (12) exhibits leadership and perseverance as she takes on the role of Lieutenant Governor for her Key Club division and officer positions in many different Ayala clubs. Taking on various responsibilities allows Wang to explore her passion for serving her community. Hoping to figure out her next path, her impressive involvement gives her many options before she soon graduates.

Aiden Choe (12) developed pneumothorax during late September which caused him to go on medical leave for the rest of the first semester. While on independent study, Aiden Choe overcame many hardships, yet here he stands today as one of the best of us.

Milena Leonis (12) is president of Ayala Choir. Still, Leonis stays involved in community endeavors such as Chino Community Theatre, arts, and dancing. Olivia Mendoza, Editor-in-Chief, Club President

Olivia Mendoza (12) is the Editor-In-Chief of the Bulldog Times, and this is her 3rd year on staff. Olivia hopes to unite the student body to create a diverse community through writing. She is looking forward to expanding the paper in hopes of making it more well known across campus. Aside from the Bulldog Times, Olivia is also the President of National Honors Society, a 2023 Class Officer, and President of ASL Club. Outside of school, Olivia plays volleyball at Forza1 North, and is also the co-captain of the varsity volleyball team. She loves all things nature, and is always up for a new adventure in the outdoors. Olivia dreams of getting to travel the world for National Geographic and live in a van while visiting all the National Parks in the country. Her favorite thing about Ayala are the relationships she has built with her classmates over the years.
